ABOUT

Gergely Sándor is a painter and visual artist based in Amsterdam.

His creative journey began in Transylvania, shaped by a dual Hungarian–Romanian identity and early influences from his grandfather, a stone carver and village builder. He studied Fine Arts at the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, where he built a strong foundation in composition and material exploration. Later, at the Amsterdam Fashion Academy, he expanded his understanding of aesthetics through fashion styling, which deepened his perspective on form, rhythm, and visual communication.

IInfluenced by thinkers such as Dante, Carl Jung, Tom Campbell, and contemporary cosmology, Sándor creates large-scale abstract works that investigate energy, transformation, and invisible structures of existence.

Working with acrylic, oil, gold materials, and charcoal on canvas, his paintings unfold as portals where entanglement, release, and resonance meet. Colors carry symbolic force: black opens the void, gold suggests the eternal, blue evokes cosmic depth and digital innovation.

For Sándor, painting is both personal and universal a mirror of cosmic and inner movement, motion, and change. His canvases become fields of energy, where philosophy and material converge, and where the flow of galaxies resonates with the movement of paint itself.
